How it works

Choosing between private and shared

A shared Ziyarat is good value and perfectly comfortable for most travellers. You join a small group, the route is fixed, and the timing is set by the schedule rather than by you.

A private Ziyarat costs more but changes the experience considerably. You leave when you are ready, stop for as long as you want, and the guide is answering your questions rather than addressing a group. For families, and for anyone travelling with an elderly guest, it is usually the better choice.

If walking or standing is difficult, tell us. We offer shorter, focused visits by private car that cover the most significant sites without the long walks, and we can arrange a vehicle that takes a wheelchair.

Our guides describe the history and significance of each site. For questions of religious ruling or practice, we encourage you to consult a qualified scholar.

Can Ziyarat be arranged for someone with limited mobility?
