01Who we are
Al Wafd Travel arranges Umrah travel services. This policy explains how we handle personal information you give us when you enquire, book or contact us.
The business is responsible for the personal data described here. Contact details for data protection enquiries are on our contact page.
02Information we collect
We collect only what we need in order to arrange your travel and to respond to you.
- Contact details: name, email address, phone and WhatsApp number, country and preferred language
- Travel details: dates, number and type of travellers, destinations, accommodation and service preferences
- Requirements you choose to tell us about, such as accessibility or room preferences
- Booking and payment status records (we do not store card details — those are handled by the payment provider)
- Documents you send us for visa or booking purposes, such as passport copies, where you provide them
- Technical information such as pages visited, collected in aggregate and without identifying you personally
03How we use your information
We use your information to respond to your enquiry, prepare quotations, arrange your travel with the relevant suppliers, and keep you informed before and during your journey.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it for automated decision-making.
04Who we share it with
To arrange your travel we must share the necessary details with the suppliers involved — hotels, transport operators, airlines and visa processing services. We share only what each supplier needs.
We may share information with professional advisers, or where we are required to by law or by a competent authority.
05Documents and sensitive information
Passport copies and similar documents are collected only when a specific arrangement requires them, are shared only with the supplier or authority that needs them, and are retained only as long as necessary.
Please do not send passport numbers, medical details or other sensitive information through general website forms or messaging. We will tell you how to send them securely when they are needed.
06How long we keep it
Enquiry records are kept for a reasonable period so we can follow up and so we have a record of what was discussed. Booking records are kept for as long as required for accounting, tax and legal purposes.
You may ask us to delete information we no longer need to retain.
07Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive a copy in a portable form.
To exercise any of these, contact us using the details on our contact page. We may need to verify your identity first.
08Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including access controls, encrypted connections and limiting who within the business can see what.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach occurs that is likely to affect you, we will tell you and take the steps required of us.
09Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. Material changes will be communicated where we are able to reach you.
Questions about this policy
